What Is GellyBall and How Does It Work?

A staffed, low-sting game Toads Jump brings to your yard, park, or event.

GellyBall is a low-impact, low-sting cross between airsoft and paintball. Players use battery-powered blasters that fire soft water-gel beads. The beads burst on impact with a quick pop, then break apart. They do not stain, and there is no paint mess to clean up. The beads are biodegradable.

It is an experience the whole group gets to play. Toads Jump staffs every GellyBall party. A staff member stays on site to run the games, referee the matches, enforce the safety rules, and keep the session fun. Every player is required to wear a full face mask.

1. How a round works

We set up a play area using the cover you already have, such as trees, bushes, or outbuildings, and we also set up inflatable bunkers so players can block during the games. Blasters are battery powered, so the field itself does not need an outlet. Players load soft gel beads and play short games while staff keeps the match moving.

A staffed party runs about 90 minutes, or 1.5 hours, with 10 or more games. The GellyBall packages list team-style play such as elimination, capture the flag, and speed rounds. Packages are set up for a max of 10 players, with an added fee for each extra player.

2. Full face masks are required

Every player wears a full face mask. No one plays without one. Staff checks masks before a round starts. If someone’s mask comes off, the game is stopped.

GellyBall is lower sting than paintball, but the beads are still projectiles. The mask is part of how Toads Jump runs the game, not an optional add-on. See the GellyBall mask with the packages.

3. Toads Jump staffs the party

This is not a set of blasters left on a table. A Toads Jump staff member is on site for the party to facilitate the games, referee, and enforce the safety rules.

That includes getting players into masks, explaining how a round works, and keeping the field organized from the first game to the last. GellyBall is for ages 5 and up, and adults have a blast too.

4. What the packages include

Toads Jump brings the party to you. The GellyBall Base Package starts at $250 and the UV/Blacklight Package starts at $350. Both list a 1.5 hour party, 10 or more games, a max of 10 players, and 60 hoppers of ammo (about 42,000 to 45,000 rounds). Extra players are $30 each on the base package and $40 each on the UV/Blacklight package.

You can play in a backyard, gym, or park. Indoors or outdoors both work when there is a clear play zone. Confirm the date and your address before you count on a package, because availability and delivery depend on the event.
